Carbon steel will rust if left wet — rinse and dry after use, especially in saltwater. If you fish salt regularly, step up to a titanium-bonded or aluminum pair instead.

Sharpeners are guaranteed against defective material or workmanship for three full years from purchase date for non-industrial/non-commercial use, with repair or replacement at Smith's option. Frozen beef ships separately: free on beef orders of $350 or more, anywhere in the lower 48. It goes out Mondays and Tuesdays only, in an insulated cooler box with dry ice.
