Usually ready in 24 hoursA bass reel's six pounds of drag is a joke against a forty-pound blue in current — the Xalt 6550 carries eighteen pounds and 330 yards of twenty-pound mono to go with it.
Why You'll Like It
- 18 lb maximum drag gives you something to lean on when a big flathead turns downstream
- 20/330 line capacity means a long run doesn't end with you watching the spool arbor
- Sized and geared for catfish rather than adapted from a bass reel
- Orange Crush finish is easy to spot in a rod locker full of black reels
- 11.8 oz — heavy enough to feel solid in a rod holder all night without being a brick to cast
Best For
Drifting, anchoring and tight-lining for blue, channel and flathead catfish on rivers and reservoirs.

Every product we sell comes from an authorized distributor — GSM Outdoors, Chattanooga Shooting Supplies, or direct from the brand. Nothing is grey-market.
Warranty terms are set by each manufacturer and vary a lot — Phenix covers rods for the original owner's lifetime, Walker's is one year, Boss Buck is 90 days.
